Most people celebrate Memorial Day as a day of rest. But this day is of great historical importance for every American.
Every year the last Monday of May is celebrated in the United States as Memorial Day, in memory of all the Service men and women who died while serving the nation.
It was first celebrated in 1868 when it was called Decoration Day to honor all American men and women who lost their lives in the Civil War.
On this day, the graves of those people are decorated with flags and flowers of poppies.
During this Coronavirus pandemic, We all citizen of this nation must play our role to stay safe and to pay tribute to those who stood on the front lines, worked endless hours in our hospitals, grocery stores and kept moving frieght and supplies … those who fought for us.
