Radio Pride to air on The Voice of the Valley!

WCAP debuts Radio Pride June 22nd, 2019…Pride Month!
WCAP 980 AM Welcomes the addition of Radio Pride to its programming with a weekly show to be aired Saturdays at 4 to 5 pm
Sam Poulten, Station Operator, said “This is long overdue and we are proud to broaden the Voice of the Merrimack Valley”. The show will be hosted by veteran broadcaster Joe Mangiacotti and will also be heard on www.980wcap.com and numerous Radio Streams.
Mangiacotti began in radio in 1986 and has held many positions at radio stations throughout New England.

The Merrimack Valley is a bi-state region of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The signal is based out of the Lowell, but serves the entire Merrimack Valley and Southern NH including Lowell, Lawrence, Haverhill, Nashua, Salem and their suburbs. Its signal reaches Metro West and Boston as well. This is a great corridor rich with businesses and dense population.
Radio Pride debuted in November of 2017 on Worcester Community station WCUW 91.3 FM and airs Mondays at 4 to 4:30 pm. WCAP will air the show Saturdays at 4 pm and will extend it to one hour (One hour edition on WCAP, the WCUW edition will remain at the half hour).
Radio Pride: All shows will be carried as Podcasts. Shows and Vignettes can be found on the show’s Blog site (www.RadioPride.net) and social media platforms (@TalkingPride). The show will also be live-streamed on TuneIn app.
The immediacy, flexibility and portability of radio gives Radio Pride the ability to be timely and responsive to the issues…both political and social..that affect the LGBTQ+ community.
