Laura Farnsworth will be in studio to talk about Safe Homes and all the hard work they do.

Laura Farnsworth (pictured above with 2014 People of Courage award winner Tim Plant) is the Program Manager of Safe Homes. She is also the Director of Greater Worcester PFLAG, a support group for parents, families, and friends of LGBTQ people.

Laura has been working with LGBTQ youth, families and community members for many years with The Bridge of Central Massachusetts. She has extensive experience providing positive youth development programming, supports, education, free counseling and advocacy for LGBTQ youth and their straight allies in Worcester County.

She has become a known resource for youth workers, educators, health care providers, faith-based communities, DCF, DYS and others working with LGBTQ youth.

Her passion and dedication to the community she serves have brought support, education and a friend to those in need in Worcester County and the surrounding areas.
