City of Worcester Upcoming Events: WWI Memorial Grove groundbreaking, Newton Hill flagpole dedication, WFD Recruit Academy graduation

Worcester – The City of Worcester will host the following upcoming events:

• Wednesday, June 13 – 4:30 p.m.: Groundbreaking ceremony for the WWI Memorial Grove renovation project – Green Hill Park, 214 Green Hill Parkway
• Thursday, June 14 – 11 a.m.: Flagpole dedication ceremony honoring the life and civic contributions of Hon. Paul V. Mullaney – summit of Newton Hill, Elm Park (hosted in partnership with the Friends of Newton Hill at Elm Park)
• Thursday, June 14 – 4 p.m.: The Worcester Fire Department will host a graduation ceremony for its 2018 Recruit Academy at North High School, 140 Harrington Way. The 2018 Recruit Academy includes 17 recruits from the Worcester Fire Department.
