Love Your Labels campaign kicked offed at WP – Joshua Croke will join us!

Josh Croke, from the Worcester Pride committee and creative mind behind the Love Your Labels campaign revealed at this year’s Worcester Pride’s Farewell to February held this past Friday night.  The event changed up a bit and was held at the home of Rich McNally and his partner Kelly.

The event was very successful, this is where Worcester Pride reveals it’s Logo and theme for the coming year of Pride.  This year WP was excited to introduce its partnership with Love Your Labels; a new campaign embracing labels, eliminating stereotypes and empowering individuals

Josh Croke, the creative mind behind the campaign, attended the event and gave us the first look at the overall campaign.

Love Your Labels is a movement to embrace labels, eliminate stereotypes, and empower individuals. This campaign is uniting underrepresented communities while also engaging humanity in a conversation about equality. With the tagline Unique & United, we are elevating the dialogue about how labels like gay, black, trans, veteran, feminist, individuals with disabilities, etc. describe but don’t define people. Many of these labels have been historically (and continue to be) disadvantaged because of bias, racism, and lack of knowledge.
This campaign is encouraging uncomfortable conversation that leads to change.

Josh will join us at 4 pm on Monday the 26th in our Main street studios to discuss the campaign and its mission.  Lines will be open and you will have an opportunity to call in.

Worcester Pride also revealed it’s theme and logo for 2018. This year’s theme is “Pride Has No Limites”

This will be used for the next year and during Worcester Pride’s Pride Week in September.  check out WorcesterPride.org for more details and of course listen and watch Radio Pride for all the info on Worcester Pride.
