1.22.18 LORIE MARTISKA – The Bridge of Central Massachusetts

Lorie join us in studio on Monday the 22nd.  We discussed the origin of the Bridge, its board and mission.

The vast network it has grown to since 1973 and its funding source.  We also touch on Safe Homes, its mission and services and of course the 2018 Gala on May 4th.

Mission

In full partnership with individuals and families facing challenges,  we support and inspire them to achieve their goals and dreams.

 

Overview

The Bridge provides evidence-based, compassionate services for people of all ages with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury and complex family problems.

Bridge programs include:

  • Residential care
  • Supported Housing for adults living in their own homes
  • Flexible home-based services for children, adults and families
  • Supported Education and Employment
  • Care Coordination and Management
  • Safe Homes — a drop-in center for LGBTQ youth ages 14-23  (safehomesma.org)
  • Trauma Response Services — free psychological first aid for those experiencing a traumatic event
  • Bridge Training Institute— high quality training programs on evidence-based practice for human service professionals and licensed clinicians (thebridgetraininginstitute.org)
  • Health and Wellness Initiative
