1.15.18 MLK Day, Jobs and being in Business as LGBTQ on today’s show

I’ve wanted to have a recurring theme of LGBTQ business owners and entrepreneurs on the show.  I wanted to make sure we talk about those in the community who are not just leaders in community organizations or those organizing rallies.. but those who are also leaders in the Business community as well.

I thought that Martin Luther King Day would be a great day to do this.  The King March on Washington DC was in fact a Jobs Rally.  Dr King was wanted fair and equal opportunity for Blacks.  I had a chance to speak with Dr. Horace Cooper of the National Center for Public Policy Research, co-chairman of the Project 21 National Advisory Board and a legal commentator.

On this MLK Day we see the lowest unemployment rate since records were kept.  This is great news for Blacks in America.. and we see the narrowest gap between White Americans and Black Americans.

We’ll also be joined by Anthony Khattar, a local LGBTQ Realtor.  Anthony owns Khattar Realty LLC

We’ll talk with Anthony about being in business and Out.  What challenges he has faced, what advice he can give to any entrepreneurial  LGBTQ members.

What are the stereotypical views you have to overcome.
